Advanced Band
Students who have previously been involved in beginning band are invited to perform with more experienced musicians.

Beginning Band
Students in grades 4-8 can learn to play and instrument and join the school's band.  This is a great way to get started on learning how to play an instrument. 

Cantors
Students in seventh and eighth grades are offered an opportunity to serve as cantors (lead singers) during the school’s weekly masses.

Children's Choir
The St. James Children's Choir is open to boys and girls in the 4th, 5th, and 6th grades. The purpose of this group is to offer students who enjoy singing, more opportunities to perform, to develop their singing voices, and to learn a wide repertoire of music. The choir sings periodically at all school masses as well as parish masses.

Eighth Grade Spring Musical
During the spring, eighth grade students are given the opportunity to take part in the spring musical.  Students try out for various roles in the play and put on a fantastic program for the school community.

First Grade Christmas Pageant
The First Grade Christmas Pageant is an annual event featuring every 1st grade student. The children reenact the birth of Baby Jesus along with singing more than twenty Christmas songs. It is, in most cases, the highlight of the students’ 1st grade year at Saint James School.

Fourth Grade Musical Program
4th grade students all take part in a humorous musical program. The students perform various tunes, dress the parts, and provide ample amounts of humor.   

Kindergarten Thanksgiving Program
The kindergartners work very hard practicing songs and poems to put our parents and grandparents in the Thanksgiving spirit. The students perform for the entire school during the school day and then perform for our families in the evening.

P.A.W.S. (Praise and Worship Singers)

The St. James P.A.W.S. group is open to boys and girls in the 7th and 8th grades. The purpose of this group is to offer students who enjoy singing, more opportunities to perform, to develop their singing voices, and to learn a wide repertoire of music. The P.A.W.S. group sings regularly at all school masses and practices during study hall time on Wednesdays.

Youth Choir
The St. James Youth Choir is open to boys and girls in the 7th and 8th grades. (The choir also includes high school students.)  The choir sings periodically at St. James parish masses.
