St. James School is one of two elementary schools in the state to have earned the prestigious National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence Award from the U.S. Department of Education four times.
St. James has been named a 2024, 2023, 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019, and 2018 Top Workplace by the Cincinnati Enquirer.
In 2021, St. James was selected as the Best of the West for School Spirit by Cincy Magazine.
Our first graders won the Q102 Christmas Choir Contest in 2017, including a $5,000 prize. The previous year, our first graders were selected as the Judge's Choice in the contest.
St. James has been recognized with the Buckeye Best Healthy School Silver Award twice.
Faculty
100% of the teaching faculty is licensed through the Ohio Department of Education. Nearly half of the teaching faculty holds advanced degrees.
Standardized Test Scores
St. James students take the iReady tests each year. Our scores are consistently above the national average.
Accreditation
St. James School is fully accredited with the Ohio Catholic School Accrediting Association and follows the Course of Study as outlined by the Archdiocese of Cincinnati.
Mass Attendance
The school attends Mass together each week and on special days as announced throughout the year. Parents are welcome to join us at our school liturgies.

A thorough background check is required for all those employed or volunteering to work with youth or vulnerable adults as a cleric, at a parish or school, as an Archdiocesan employee or at an Archdiocesan institution. All volunteers and employees are required to complete the electronic/online background check through SELECTION.com prior to beginning their volunteer activity or employment. In addition to the electronic/online background check, employees are required to complete manual fingerprinting and submit a B4 form before beginning their employment at an Archdiocesan parish, school, or institution.
