Hoops for Haiti! Driven by a desire to do something to help those still suffering from the devastating earthquake in Haiti, Drew Paolercio and Drew Gauthier, two eighth grade students, came up with an idea to help Haiti. After brainstorming, planning and enlisting the help of the 8th Grade Leadership Council, students planned a fundraising event called Hoops for Haiti. Hoops for Haiti was on Friday, May 7, 2010, in the Saint James gym. The event consisted of a basketball game between the eighth grade boys A & B teams. This was followed by a student versus teacher basketball game. Over $1,7000 was raised to help with the relief efforts in Haiti. We are very proud of all of our students who donated to this cause and proud of our 8th grade students who planned the event.
