FROM THE D.R.E.

Our first Saint James School Liturgy of the 2007-2008 school year was celebrated on Wednesday, September 5 at 8:30 am. The entire school community was present, including our All-Day Kindergarten students. This Mass is a formal celebration of the beginning of the school year and of our commitment in the community of Saint James School to be the Body of Christ. There will be a weekly Liturgy for the school community throughout the school year (except for a couple of weeks when we will have prayer services instead). Grades 2 – 8 will be attending each week. Kindergarten and First Grade will be attending at special times during the year.

The Children’s Advent Caring and Sharing Program is a wonderful opportunity for families to share their many blessings with those who struggle to meet their basic needs. Our school children will be gathering personal care items that will be distributed in food baskets to families in the area that are in need. The collection starts November 26th -December 7th . Wrapped items may be sent in to your child’s homeroom during this time. Thank you in advance for you kind generosity. And may you and your family have a blessed Christmas and Happy New Year.
